Use our Downtown Denver Access Guide to help you find which bus and light rail routes you can take into Downtown Denver.

Tips for taking the bus:
- Use a paper RTD System Map to help you plan your trips on the go! Copies are available at Union Station and Market Street Station or by calling the Downtown Denver Partnership at 303.534.6161. Digital maps are also available online at www.rtd-denver.com by clicking on "System Maps"
- Arrive a little early in case your route is running early.
- Find the right stop. For Downtown Denver bus stops, use Experience Downtown Denver to locate bus stops in Downtown Denver and the routes that stop at them.
- If you're not sure where your stop is, feel free to sit near the front of the bus and ask your driver to point out your stop when it is coming up.
Carpooling & Vanpooling
Sharing the ride to work with a friend or colleague is an ideal way to make your daily commute more enjoyable and less expensive. Ridesharing can be as simple as carpooling with your spouse, roommate or neighbor. If four to ten individuals share the same commute, you might want to explore a vanpool. Telework
Teleworking is a great alternative for commuters whose job functions afford the flexibility to work from home. Hands-on assistance is available to help implement a telework program at your office, including presentations for upper and middle management, review and development of policies and forms, and training for both managers and teleworkers. Car Free Getaways
There are many weekend excursions that don't require driving your car. Here are some suggestions:
- Take RTD's Boulder Express (the Route BX or B) to Boulder for trip to Chautauqua, a hike through the Flatirons, day trip for shopping or sightseeing, or a game or concert! Schedule available at www.rtd-denver.com
- Ride your bike along the Cherry Creek or Platte River Trails and connect to 100s of miles of trails throughout the Denver region!
- Get on board Amtrak's California Zephyr and spend the weekend in Winter Park, Granby, Glenwood Springs, or Grand Junction!
- In town attractions like the Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Elitch Gardens and many others have great transit access and are usually close to one of the Denver Bike Paths.
